knees cracking when going ATG
im assuming this is bad...am i doing it wrong

welll i figured it out. i have to point my toes out rather than straight ahead

My knees crack all the time. Its usually just air in the joints being released that makes that sound. As long as its not painful, you should be ok.

Also, maybe pick a joint supplement. But I agree if you are putting pressure on your tendons to move against its range of motion, you're going to cause your patella to move around and hear a "popping" sound. Glad you corrected your stance don't need any injuries.

Wish I could even go ATG... my ortho. doc today told me not to today. Got messed up knees, particularly the left one. It sucks.

I like to have my toes pointing out about 10 degrees and I put 5lb disc weights under my heels in order to help me keep the weight in my feet even since I have a tendency to lean back. For some people it helps a lot but it's not for everyone.

My knees are a symphony when squatting.....I fixed the problem though....I turn the music in my ipod up

My knees pop just going up the stairs. I have never done ATG squats, but going to try them this coming week as prescribed by a trainer at the gym. He said i should see amazing changes in just a few weeks. Got the size on the quads, just need to condition them more.
