Ever feel like your doing too much training?

Ever feel like your doing too much training? Like your feeling tired all the time.

I'm doing kettlebell class once a week, 3-4 days weight training programme and 1-2 days bjj. All this along with a physical job.

Starting to feel burnt out but don't wanna cut down on weights and I love kettlebell training and I love learning bjj.

Just wandering if anyone else has had this problem in the past and can give any advice? Thanks

CNS fatigue is not only from training , your daily life can effect it too. i feel so ****ty and tired when i got personal problems in my life , work etc it just directly effects your strength you just feel drained unmotivated to train. There are limits to how far you can push your body, its not limitless like those "motivation gurus" on drugs state

It may sound obvious. But I realise you can get tired from lack of sleep even with no training.

Dude...I feel like I'm asking the obvious but 1) are you on a weightlifting program 2) does said program prescribe deloads and 3) are you taking said deloads??

Provided you're getting adequate nutrition, just take a week off if you start feeling that way consistently. A week off every 2-3 months can be a really good thing.

Yeah I find myself having a de load week about every 6 weeks as I've no choice I just feel that proper knackered. I'm averaging about 6.5 - 7hours sleep per night, (which is probably part of the problem.)
I eat plenty, weetabix breakfast. Protein bar on way to work, mostly brown rice and chicken all day at work and a good dinner and protein shake at night. (Maybe a bar of chocolate somewhere in there lol)

I need to change something as I love training and enjoy the buzz from it but it's not worth feeling exhausted all the time.

You may be over training. You'll have to give yourself more time for rest, shortening or cutting out something or changing your schedule to give you more rest.

I've done a bit of research and I think sleep may be the main problem. Need more sleep.

Some protein bars are too high in sugar and getting rest is a must when it comes to recovery.

    Beginning of summer last year:

Wanted to go swimming every single day in the morning. (Half an hour)
Went to the gym 4/5 times per week.

After two weeks my body said: "I don't want that anymore" -> was super tired during the day and didn't have as much power as usual while working out.
    Best regards

I sometimes felt tired and thought I train too much but on my rest days I also felt the same then I know it is lack of sleep. I would be glad to have 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep though.
