    Arrow Why do all professionals eat so much rice?

    Ruhl is a huge rice-eater, Cutler also eats rice on his dvd. I ask myself why?
    Why do they not eat pasta? It also contains carbs. Is rice cheaper than pasta?
    Or could it be that rice has some secret,hidden anabolic features which they do not want to share with us?
    Personally I can't stand rice. It doesn't taste good.

    brown rice is a lot better for you than the typical pasta your thinking of...
    complex carbs are key, and rice is very cheap as well...

    A lot of people have sensitivities or allergy to wheat, which bloats and can cause a host of other problems. Rice is a lot cleaner. I have a wheat intolerance.

    I love brown rice I eat Grilled chicken with brown rice & green beans all the time.I feel so healthy when I do this.Once a week I'll have 93% ground beef mixed with brown rice & newans the whole shazam spagetti sauce kinda as a cheat meal . Brown rice mixed with Tuna fish. yummy. As far as pasta goes Rudolph eat whole wheat pasta. You see complex carbs digest slowly and give your body a sustained release of enegry that helps keep your Blood sugar level You dont get the crash that you would from a fast acting sugary carb.Vitargo is a good carb drink post work out you can buy it with out the creatine in if your worried about water retention.I go to wal- mart and get 10 packs of brown rice at 77 cents a bag that last for over a week for me and my woman.Use some Ms Dash.I make sure I boil my for a long time and get it really soft before I eat it I'';ll use alot of extra water because I let it boil for a long time.

    brown rice is brown rice, just put it in the pot with water and let it boil.

    pasta must be made, with flour salt egg etc.
    whole wheat pasta, despite seeming very good because the wheat in it isn't refined, is still not as good as brown rice because it has to be made.

    along with that i doubt bodybuilders have the time and wants to have fresh pasta made for them every meal

    i believe most pasta is made with bleached flour and doesn't have many nutrients. That's also why if bodybuilders eat bread, it should be 100% whole wheat bread, and also so it will have fiber and digest slower as well.

    I think the 6K calorie mark is a bit over exaggerated. I saw Ronnies off season meals ( cost of redemption) and they don't look all that big and not that many of them.

    Wholewheat pasta, brown rice and oats are the only carbs that I eat. I cook my pasta in 4 minutes so it's quick and easy but I prefer brown rice because it doesn't make bloated as much as pasta. Brown rice is delicious though...

    Alot of pros tend to eat baked potatoes i prefer baked potatoe to rice its what you like end of the day. Typical meal would be one medium size baked potatoe with loads of green beans and large grilled chicken breast. Best sources of carbs are Potatoes, brown rice, oats,
