Maiden's "The Big Picture" Stack Log
Yesterday I got my shipment from Universal. I decided to go with Shock Therapy Grape Splash, Intra-Aid Blue Raspberry, and Torrent Green Apple Avalanche.
Here is a link to my Journey at the Forvm, I will do a comparison of the impact on the Stack on my workouts and recovery.
http://forum.animalpak.com/showthread.php?t=20676
I'm on a 12 day rotation, but for this I will start an 8 day rotation (Thanks Hola Bola). I think that I can punish my legs better this way and they will have more recovery capabilities taking advantage of the Torrent's post-workout anabolic muscle mass activaton.
Here is both routines just for a "comparo". Spaces in between are rest days.
12 DAYS
Arms
Legs/Calves
Chest
Back
Quads/Calves
Arms
Chest
Hams/Calves
Back
Repeat
8 DAYS
Back
Quads/Calves
Back
Chest
Rest
Hams
Arms
Rest
Repeat
As for nutrition I'm on a Keto diet, I will switch to an Anabolic Diet trying not to exceed 100g of carbs a day, 52 from Torrent and the on the meal before the work out.
Thanks Universal and Universal Reps!
Tomorrow is the start of this new Evolution!

4 OCT Back-Traps
OK, clarification first... The 8 day Routine is wrong, I did a type error.
1. Shoulders
2. Quads-Calves
3. Back-Traps
4. Chest
5. Rest
6. Hams-Calves
7. Arms
8. Rest
I did Back today, so next week I will start with the above routine. I will invert Shoulders and Chest this week only, so it will be Chest and the day after Shoulders.
I'm new to logs here at BB.Com, so I will give a little intro like the other guys are doing.
I'm a 39 yrs old Staff Sergeant in the US Army, I have a total of 19 yrs in Service including almost 9 as a Guardsmen. I have been lifting for a while, but it has been about 3 months now that I'm doing it seriously. I guess turning 39 had something to do with it! My goal is to get int the best shape I can, and strive to maintain it for as long as I have to live.
Here is my first day log. Back!
Rack Pulls
135 x 25
225 x 25
315 x 20
365 x 12
385 x 10
405 x 8
425 x 5
445 x 3
455 x 1
T-Bar row (bb and V handle)
75 x 15
100 x 15
125 x 8
125 x 10
HS Iso Front Lat
45 x 15/15
70 x 10/10
80 x 10/10
90 x 10/10
Upright Row (Smith)
+ 50 x 15 (4 sets)
Db Shrugs
70 x 15
80 x 15
90 x 15
single bd bent laterals
30 x 15
35 x 12
35 x 12
Here is what my last back day looked like!!!
Rack Pulls
135 x 30
225 x 25
285 x 15
315 x 10
365 x 6
385 x 4
405 x 1
315 x 10
225 x 20
BB Rows
135 x 25
135 x 15
135 x 15
superset with
T-Bar Row (barbell and back V handle)
2 plates.
90 x 15
90 x 15
90 x 15
HS Iso-Lat pull down
45 x 25/25
70 x 15/15
80 x 10/10
90 x 8/8
45 x 50
Wide Grip Upright Rows
65 x 15
85 x 12
95 x 10
Wide grip T-bar (chest supported) focus on rear delt
1 plate
45 x 20
45 x 25
45 x 30
superset with single bd bent laterals
30 x 10/10
35 x 10/10
30 x 10/10
All I can say is that I'm extremely pleased with the results on day 1. The only difference between both workouts is the addition of Intra-Aid / Storm and half a cup of oats that I eat with BFast. I set PR's all the way up on the Rack Pulls, my last 2 back work outs I managed a single with 405, this time I scored 405 x 8 and went all the way up to a single 455!!! I hope this will be the trend for the workouts to come!
Thanks Universal-Animal and Universal Reps!

Supplements Review
Shock Therapy
I have used this before, the taste the first time I took it was awful, but I have to say the same about every single NO powder that I have used to date! I know that it is very hard to make it taste good. Pumps are pretty good, but it needs the addition of Storm to equal the one I got with Animal Pump. Energy rush with it is outstanding, I was used to the tapered effect that Pump give me, this one hits me as soon as I start to lift. What I found was that by the time I was done with my first 2-3 exercises that energy was almost gone.
To the Rescue.........
Intra-Aid
This is the first time ever that I try a Intra workout supplement, so I got nothing to compare it with. I have used other companies glucose-creatine supplements are intra, but none gave me the results that Intra-Aid provided. Taste is pretty good, I did a few experiments before heading out the door to the gym. I tried 1 scoop with 16oz of water, the taste was pretty good, I even gave my wife to have a sip and she said it tasted like Blue Berry Kool Aid (she hates supplements taste so this was a PLUS to me). After that I added a scoop of Storm and about 6 more oz of water... SOLD, that will be the one to take for the duration of the cycle! "Sweet Grape Splash with a hint of berries" I called it! As you can see from my first workout, the numbers speak for themselves as HOW IT WORKS!
Torrent
As far as effectiveness, we will have to wait until a week or so to see the benefits of this Supp. Taste was a surprise. I was expecting a very sour taste, but it was rather soft. It just tasted like a green apple when you eat it with the skin together! It was a nice change to the Cherry taste that I have used before on other supps, and a great compliment to the Grape and Blue Raspberry from the ST-Storm-Intra-Aid.
Can't wait for tomorrow! Quads!
Stay Tuned!

PR, I haven't done this in years!
Good work out today, some issues at the house kept me from doing Quads, since I need all the concentration I can get to workout my legs and prevent my knee from getting messed up again. First time I work shoulders alone in about 3 months, and I was not feeling it. I think I manage to hit them better after chest, since they are pre-exhausted. So I think I will make a move to do a modded 12 day rotation, alternating quads and hams every leg workout.
Supplements are doing what they are suppose to! ST 30 min prior, Intra-Aid is helping me keep pushing thru, and Torrent is helping with the recovery nicely. After a workout like yesterday I usually can't sleep with muscle soreness, but I did nice. But today I woke up to a very sore back! DOMS kicked in earlier! Still I have never done that much weight before! So I think it is a plus.

Thanks bro! Seated. I have tried standing but haven't got the balance dialed so it helps me concentrate on the delts more.

Yeah, ST really gives ya a kick, don't it?
16 oz with Intra-Aid? More power to ya. I prefer 25-30 oz per scoop.

ST is working pretty good, I might up the dose half way thru the LOG to 1.5 or 2 scoops.
Intra-Aid taste pretty good with 16 oz cold water, I'm mixing 24oz with Intra and Storm right now! Love the taste.

From day one! I think that some as that I was so excited to try this, but if it had been a rep or 2 I would had been thinking it was because I was siked up. But I got my rack pulls up 50LBS for a single plus a lot of reps in between! I love it so far! I will be selling my bike to make some more money for the sups from now on! Too bad the season is over!

Solid workout, I was looking at more weight, but I didn't managed. I was tired from a long day at work too, but the ST and the Intra-Aid held me thru the entire work out. Remember that this is my weakest body part!
ST continues to give me a good flow of energy, I noticed that especially today since I was really tired after work. It boosted me up from my tiredness and then the Intra-Aid picked up from there and help me finished up.
I can tell that the Torrent is working nice now, since I'm feeling fuller than before I incorporated it. I love the way I'm feeling on it. Taste is great, I'm really enjoying it now! I'm having a bit of clumps on the end, it is the first time that I got that problem, so it might be that I waited too long after adding the powder to start mixing it. Other than that, solid products!

Great day today! It started with me cursing since my bottle with the Intra-Aid fell on the floor and broke after 2 sips!!! I will make it in a 1/2 gal water bottle from now on! No more shakers to the gym! Getting PR's on the Leg Press was a good feeling, haven't gone past 14 x 9 or 16 x 2 before, so doing 14 x 12 and 16 x 6 was awesome. I'm sure that if I had the Intra-Aid, I could had pushed a few more reps on those 2 sets!
I have been feeling stronger on the last few days, and I think it is due to the Torrent in my diet! Also I'm maintaining my waist the same size and I have gained close to 2 lbs in weight. No accurate means to measure my bf, just the Army tape and as long as the waist and neck measurements stay the same there is no fluctuation on bf%.
I took 1 scoop of ST today, yesterday I did 1.5 and it didn't feel right to me. I pretty tolerant to stimulants, so I know that was not the issue... may be I was not feeling well or getting sick?

Hey man, I'm glad to hear things have been going well for you.
I'm jealous that you get to use the Cybex Squat Press. Its so much better than a traditional 45 degree leg press... I really wish my current gym had one.

You have used it before? I like it a lot, the arc of the movement make it feel very natural and easy on my knees!
And thanks again for being there to answer my questions!

I always loved working out legs, they have been pretty strong all the time from hauling my fat ass around! I wish I could say the same about chest...

Definitely couldn't agree more with these statements. Great work M!
I never have clumps though w/ my torrent...I do shake the **** out of the shaker though hahaha. Try adding some ice cubes to the Torrent and man oh man is that delicious.

Intra-Aid and Storm, sounds like a good combo. I remember reading that from G Diesel and Enforcer. They've been hitting up that combo.
