As far as expectations go she did, shre did by a long shot, it was no question Biden was the much better debater, and Palin was viewed almosgt as an idiot, her performance stopped that, she won, she accomplished what she needed to do. The issue is there was no way Biden could win unless he was pure perfecgt and Palin was a complete failure.

exceeding expectations does not equal winning.

If you got 25% in a test one week and 70% the next, you'd have exceeded expectations, but it still wouldn't "win" in comparision to someone scoring 75%.

Yeah, she came across as well as she could've hoped. She is friendly and attractive, so that is appealing when compared to Biden. I can't think of much more to praise though.

Palin exceeding expectations does not = a Palin victory. She still dodged the questions and still did not show where McCain's policies differ from Bush. But if you want to think that a bunch of "Darn rights" and "You betcha's" equals a victory, well good luck in November.
