Jay Cutler 2nd Placer is the most dangerous Olympian Ever IMHO
As we all know, Jay went through all those defeats before he became Mr. Olympia. These defeats has made him even more hungrier than everyone else on stage even Coleman himself to win the Big O. By then, Jay did everything he could just to win the ultimate prize which is the Sandow trophy, cash included, and be known as the greatest bodybuilder of all time, which he finally accomplished in 2006 when he came in a much heavier physique at a body weight of 273 lbs along with a great conditioning and fullness (better than in 2001 imo, or should I say the best Cutler package), and also defeated the reigning champ then. Also, he has been dragged down by a lot of doubters/haters(or jealous people) before... that he would never ever gonna win the Olympia and he would just end up losing again and again to Ronnie until he retires, but Jay didn't lose hope, instead he remained positive despite all the negative comments he got then that he would never win the Olympia. But, just last Saturday, we all have seen how Cutler badly lost the title to Dexter, as Jay always wanted to win three and have no plans to lose the title anytime time soon cus as he said in the interview "It's gonna be hard to leave with". Unfortunately, it didn't go to Jay's way. I really just hope this tragic defeat imo serves as a wake up call to Cutler to train and diet a lot harder more than everyone else for fukk sake and make everyone believe come September that he will bring his title back and win the Olympia in years to come. And hopefully brake Haney's and Coleman's 8 Olympia titles..

He did diet hard this year, he just mistimed his water.
By the way, he was 268 in 2006, not 273.

Why is it "dangerous" to give Jay 2nd place? Should he have been handed 1st place, are you assuming?
Anyway, there is no doubting the work ethic of Jay Cutler or the commitment, discipline and drive he puts into bodybuilding. Jay is a fantastic ambassador of the sport and carries himself very professionally.
If he had something to prove, IT WAS THIS YEAR. Last year he was gifted the sandow, this year, he was made to earn in, and he didn't. After last years negativity and doubting this was the year he would've proven the doubters wrong. It didn't happen.
Jay's physique is not capable of returning to what it use to be. He is a shadow of his former self. He's starting to get major imbalances and symmetrical issue's, particuarly in his quads and biceps. His waist is at the point of no return now, even if he reduced it, it still detracts from his physique and now very poor v-taper. His definition simply isn't good enough and is getting progressively worse, and even when he nails his conditioning he lacks the separation that other guys around him have. Jay has major symmetry issue's now that are irrepairable this time next year IMO.
He will go down as a very popular bodybuilder who worked extremely hard and once had an excellent physique (2001), but he has ruined himself playing the mass game. It is sad that Jay was practically forced to ruin all his lines and symmetry in order to win something which he should've done all those years back.

There are many great bodybuilders and Jay as a 2 time Olympian is one of them, but to say Jay is the greatest is a vast overstatement, please explain how Jay is greater than Arnold, Dorian, Coleman and Haney to name the obvious few, because i just cant see how he would rank above these guys.

Now that the judges have chosen conditioning over mass, it is going to be nearly impossible for Jay to win another O. Unless the IFBB just had Jay lose on purpose,in order to hype up a head to head match with Dexter, which is very probable.

To say he's now become dangerous is a bit silly, he stays so dedicated year round that i dont think there's much more he could do for next year. That said i hope he manages it if he competes.

Talked to Jay yesterday
This is what Jay told me yesterday. He said that for years competing against Ronnie it was all a size game. This year with no Ronnie the judges are going for more streamline physiques.
Jay said he likes being big. He's not a fan of losing muscle to streamline his physique. He told me he knows what needs done to play this game.
I will tell you he's more dedicated than ever so you will get a new Jay in 2009.
Jay is cool as hell and is upfront about liking the size game. Think about all the seconds to Ronnie and everyone telling him he needs to get bigger. He did.
Now imagine being Jay and having to go the other way after years of playing the size game.
He also said he was disappointed in the loss but he's far from finished and if anything has more desire to get another title.
We all know Jay's work ethic so I wouldn't count him out yet.

Well i was there great view of everything
i thought jay had won the show because
he was much better than last year dexter
wining was a shock to me he looks great
but he lack calves while jay lacks for nothing except
dexter like conditioning which only dexter has
and he's much bigger than dexter so i definately
think jay should have won this year but i guess the judges
were getting a better "view" than i was with my binoculars ?
Btw Mr.O is supposed to have calves and big ones
which is why i don't think wolf should win it until he gets them in line
i took some pics of his legs that just look sad from the knees down.

man, whatever you are smoking, i DO NOT want. Did you not notice how out of place Cutler looked in the line up? Everyone had amazing lines and balance (minus gustavo), tiny waist and full muscle bellies... and then you there was Cutler, the exact opposite. Sorry but there is no room for Cutler to reign anymore.

This post actually put a few smiles on my face!
I particularly enjoyed the part where you said that Jay was the greatest bodybuilder ever and Cutler breaking Coleman's/Haney's record!

In the past he stated he didn't want to get that big in order to compete.
Now he really has no choice, it's not like he is going to show up in 09 looking like Brian Buchanan.

No he won't be small that would be impossible. When your standing 2 feet in front of him having a conversation it's unreal. I saw him Wednesday getting sprayed by Jan Tana. He had striations everywhere and his back is insane.
His Quads were ripped to shreds. He has a new game plan and is very driven to see it through.

i mean i prefer lines/proportion over sheer mass/size but a huge part of me misses the Ronnie/Jay days. For some reason im not super excited where the sport is going (although it be in a positive one). Im glad Jay got some titles but once he leaves the sport I feel there will be a void, just like this year without ronnie.
I mean there are some guys with a bright future in the sport, but they dont excite me for some reason.
My favorite olympia by far has to be 2005. Even though the challenge round was a bust, that line up had so much personality and an array of different physiques.
Im a huge Markus and Gunther fan so it was kewl to see them in the mix. Dex and Gustavo were a nice mix, then of course Ron and Jay. Good good olympia

If Jay can physically morph his physique to a more streamlined/proportionate look, beat the likes of Heath, Wolf, Dexter AND bring solid conditioning - he will be the greatest Olympian of all time.
If he does this next year and wins, then I will be blown away.

In all seriousness, Jay cant win again unless he shrinks his waist. All the dieting and training in the world wont help him now because the trend has shifted to aesthetics and Jay has none. Even if he's shredded, if he doesnt shrink his actual waist size, it'll never happen. That being said, I think he can do it but he has to lay off the **** he's on and lose some size first.

Uhhh no, he wouldn't be the greatest Olympian of all time. Streamlined or not. Jay is just genetically too blocky.
He'll never have the dominating bodyparts as a previous Mr. Olympia before him. Now thats the GOAT!!!

I hope ur right i would love to see him make history and win back the sandow in the 09 olympia.

Streamlined, small waist etc talk is out of place..in this thread imho..
Jay just simply lost to Dexter cus the guy was in a much better condition than the previous champ. If Jay perfectly dialed in for the show this year, he would obviously win without a doubt..
