Why in the world do I have to be at orientation for 9.5 hours? At walmart do you get two 15s and an hour for lunch? WTF? 9.5 hours? Here's how you hit the cash register button and here's how you...wait...9.25 hours later...here's how you smile to the customer.

I bet their orientation is exciting. Here's how you staple the bag together and point towards the customer service desk. Don't forget to say, "Welcome to walmart" when the customer comes in AND "Thanks for coming to walmart." when the customer leaves.
That would take more time than explaining to me how to be a cashier.
1) Scan item.
2) Bag item.
3) Press button in relation to payment type.
4) Repeat.

I'm not surprised. I work for Walmart and my orientation was scheduled for that amount of time. It probably won't last that long though. Basically you get info on company policy, medical benefits, etc. If I remember right you get snacks and breaks. You might even get pizza if they do it 9 hours straight.

The normal spike shooter was good, the lime was nasty, the new Spike Shotgun (like Redline Xtreme with BA in it) was orange flavored and it was alright.
That doesn't sound too bad, and is pretty much what I expected. Would be cool to get to leave early. Is orientation paid, and also, how do you like WM?
