Lowdown5 "My Reclamation"
From Wikipedia-"Reclamation is the process of reclaiming something from loss or from a less useful condition"
That pretty much describes where I am at, at a loss and in useless condition. I am 48 years old, 5'11" and weighed in at 313.6 pounds this morning. But with the help of Derek Charlebois, the inspiration of Marc Lobliner, the support of Team Scivation and its members, that is all going to change.
This will not be an easy task, as nothing really worthwhile is. It will not be quick nor will it be pleasant in some cases. But to repeat the words of Marc "If you follow the plan, it will work". That is my mantra, my self-talk, my way of accomplishing my goals.
My goal is to be at 225 pounds by July 8th, 2010, my 50th birthday. If it comes sooner, outstanding. But it will come, trust me. I have screwed around long enough, time to walk the walk, the talking is done. Derek has laid out a very good CHA diet for me as well as a training program to work around shoulder surgery I had in June. In 12 weeks we will reevaluate my training and diet and go from there. I am going to post pics weekly, they may be scary at first but they are for accountability.
I hope that along the way I can maybe inspire someone to undertake a task that they think they cannot complete. If I can spark desire in one person, then I have done a good thing.
My training will be posted daily and I hope some of you will follow along, support is always appreciated. I will try and repay that by giving as much as I can back.
In closing I want to once again thank Derek, I appreciate what you have done for me so much.
And a special thank you to Marc, a better role model is nowhere to be found. Thank you Marc, for giving hope and help to so many. I hope someday to meet you and shake your hand.
Thanks, and now let's get busy.

Wow, that is motivating right there!
Good luck with your changes and remember everyday is a new day and you will forget about the pain, hunger and sacrifices of yesterday but when you look in the mirror you will forget all those little things!

Cardio
My strength training starts Monday following Dereks plan, so today was cardio only. I used the plan that Derek gave me and it kicked my ass and showed me that I need to get moving.
Elliptical- 15 minutes of intervals, 15 seconds fast, 45 seconds slower
Dreadmill (my name for it) 15 minutes 3.5% incline at 2.5mph
Stretched a bit, sipped on 4 scoops of grape Xtend during the cardio. Preparing for some Sludge in a few.
Monday, it is GAME ON!!

Started the CHA diet that Derek laid out for me today. It is without a doubt the easiest plan to follow ever. I have plenty to eat, good tasty stuff and Sludge is a freaking treat that is really a meal.
Had some grapefruit and Scivation whey with some natty PB a bit ago and I have to tell you I was in heaven. This is gonna be a lot less painful than any other diet plan ever.

Today I had to be at work at 4am, but when you get to have Sludge for breakfast it ain't so bad. Stopped on my way home and did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical, 15 minutes of HIIT at 15 second sprint and 45 seconds recovery and then 15 minutes at 130-140bpm. Kicked my ass, but not as bad as yesterday.
Diet has been spot on, the CHA doesn't even feel like a diet.
