where should i go now?
hey guys! im 19, a part time model and an aspiring personal trainer and I need a little advice. I need to know what my next step should be. (in becomeing a personal trainer.)
Just a little background info:
I have no bills to pay because I am lucky enough to have the parents that I do. I have a deep passion for fitness and PT is what I want to do for a career; there is no doubt about It. Im living off $500 a month i get from modeling so im not worried about my starting salary just yet.
im Currently going to college to earn my degree in kinesiology, but i have about 3 more years before I actually get my degree.... so given my situation, is there anything I can do in the mean time besides reading books to get my foot in the door of the PT world?
Should I get a certification and start looking for clients?
or should I get my cert. and work at a gym?
do you think i need to gain more mass?
or whatever else?
Thanks in advance!

You're blessed. Good luck in school!
Get certified and work in a gym...that way, someone else worries about the business (equipment, insurance, etc) and you can focus on becoming a better trainer. You can learn alot and network quite a bit while in school. You'll also be able to practice what you learn as you go. Once you're done with school, you'll probably be done with the gym and will be ready to go solo.
Adding mass is up to you, but most clients will be sedentary housewife types or guys who have doctor's orders to get in shape or die early. They won't want to look huge, so there's no need to be huge. If you want to specialize in bodybuilding that's fine though. Clients will judge and hire you based on your knowledge and their results. You should walk the walk, but remember not to make it seem impossible or intimidating.
