Is there any scientific proof that weight lifting stunts growth?

Alright, is there any scientific proof that weight lifitng stunts growth? in terms of growing taller, I am 5'9, I feel I can grow up to 5'11 or even 6 feet tall, genetic is a factor, but I've done massive research on what age does men truly stop growing in height, I used to be obese back in my teen years, so I feel if I wasn't obese I could of been taller, and I wish to change that. I don't think weight lifting stunts growth, because when one engages in weight lifitng, HGH is release, and that is a super factor in growing taller, I just think it's a myth, that weight lifting stunts growth. Most tall people have short parents, but what do you guys think???

Sorry dude.... but if you're serious about that post... all I can do is LAUGH UNTIL IT HURTS. Are you seriously asking that question?
You know I once heard that if you bench over 300 lbs. your hair will change color. I've always been partial to brown, myself.

I don't think lifting weights stunts growth, at least after a certain point. I mean I could see if like an 8 year old was seriously lifting weights, it might have adverse effects. I have no knowledge, scientific know how, or even read an article, just saying.

However also if you are 22, I doubt you'll hit another growth spurt. It is possible, but generally after the teen years, you are done. My last growth spurt was like 10th or 11th grade. The latest I've heard was friends saying they knew somebody who was like 5'7" all through high school and during freshman year of college, shot up to like 6'.

There is no evidence whatsoever. No one claims that kids hauling hay and **** on farms for the past few centuries suffered from stunted growth; why is weightlifting any different?

The epiphyseal cartilage is the point on the bone where longitudinal growth occurs (height).Typically this cartilage remains open until the person is in their 20's; at this time the plate typically is fully mature and closes (becomes epiphyseal plate). The theory is that early stress on the EC (by weightlifting) would cause it to mature early and prevent full longitudinal growth of the bones.

Its a cute little theory, but it is weak and lacks evidence. Unless you are 10 years old I wouldn't worry about it.
"Clit stimulation if your fingers are dry is not a good idea. The clit is more sensitive than the underside of a guy's penis, apparently.

Good rule of thumb: make sure you're fingers aren't dry before they go anywhere NEAR her clit/pussy.

Also, besides myself, maybe 2-3 of you have actually done anything like this before..."

    No!.

Improper lifting resulting in plate injury might, though.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

You are 22. You are around average height. Work with what you have and don't worry about changing things you can't. Most tall people have reasonably tall parents or relatives. Weightlifting isn't going to make you any taller than you are at age 22. You think you can still get a 3-4% increase in height at age 22? Yes men can grow into their early 20's but it is very small not 3-4%. I grew about 1/4 - 1/2inch max from the age of 18-23.

It is not something you can work harder at to be better. At least with weight training you can work harder and get better.
