Body for Life ??

I got the BFL book, and I've been skimming through it. I'm thinking about following the program. The only thing that might be a problem is my lifestyle has more cardio than BFL recommends. He suggests 20 mimutes of fasted aerobics, 3X a week. I'm way more active than that. Does that mean I can't follow the program?

I also have issues woking out on an empty stomach- I get very dizzy, and I've come close to passing out.

Any thoughts as to whether I should give BFL a try?

Fasted aerobics doesn't provide any additional benefit compared to regular aerobics, first of all - that advice is pretty outdated.

More important than "what program" is "a program". If you follow just about any credited program, you will see results. The problem most people have isn't the program itself, it's the fact that people rarely finish the program.

^^good point. Do you think the U/L split would still be good for me, even if I'm getting a lot more cardio than the program calls for?

Try it, I like increased frequency workouts and U/L splits are certainly better than bodypart splits in terms of fat loss.

You are will be a good judge of how much cardio you can do. The majority of these programs are focused on weights and diet, with Cardio being a supplementary factor. You don't want to limit your workouts because you're exhausted from a separate cardio session, and this is especially important in a calorie restricted state.
