    Calorie Calculator for Cutting

So using the Harris Benedict Formula I am at 2,127 BMR multiplied by 1.55 for moderately active (3 days lifting, heavy bag non-lift days, cardio 6 mornings). That comes out to 3,297 cals. a day. So if I want to lose two pounds of fat a week I subtract 1,000 cals. which would mean I need to consume 2,297 cals a day to cut. Correct?

I would not not go with such a huge deficit, I'd stick to a 500 calorie daily deficit. I also personally find it more accurate to multiply your BMR by 1.2 (no exercise) and then figure out how many calories your expending a day and add that onto your caloric intake. You mentioned 6x cardio and 4x lift days, along with heavy bag on your non-lift days.. that's probably more than moderate activity, depending on how many calories your expending.

Again, this equation is far from perfect and you'll have to watch your gains/losses via scale and body fat calipers to accurately indicate what your BMR actually is.

Been dealing with the same issue, and these are my collected thoughts. Hope this helps..

Yep. You need to know what your intake needs to be in a stagnant state and then you need to measure expenditure. Get tested, buy a HR monitor and measure. Randomly letting a calculator built for everyone to provide information on your body that is different than everyone elses is a recipe for failure.
