    Chest exercises with implants?

I don't do any chest exercises. I have under the muscle implants. My doctor says "Go for it." Should I? I have 17.2bodyfat according to my recent dunk test, I don't want my implants to start showing, would they at this percentage? My upper body is kind of puny compared to my legs...what are your thoughts? I think I just have skinnier arms naturallly but I do try to lift heavy.

    why not

if your doctor says go for it, i say give it a shot. i would start with lighter weights then what i would normally lift with to get a feel for it. i dont have implants so i wouldnt know what it would feel like to lift while having implants under the muscle. but considering that they are under the muscle i dont think you would have to worry about them showing. that isnt something that would happen overnight or in a few weeks. but i say go for it. give it a few weeks of lifting and if you dont like how they look then you can change your routine up so that you can still work out the general area without a direct impact like bench pressing. or just lift lighter with higher reps. Did you just get your implants a lil while ago? How was it for you, im thinking maybe a year-year and a half getting them down the road?

Hey there! I also have under the muscle implants (subpectoral), and I do plenty of chest exercises and lift as heavy as possible.

I don't know what my body fat percentage is, but I don't think the subpectoral implants show as much as the ones that are subglandular (placed over the muscle).

Also, do you have saline or silicone? The silicone ones I find look most natural--unfortunately I had mine done when silicone was still prohibited.

    Absolutely Lift!

I had mine done 12 months ago, and my doctor said to lift whatever I liked. Your body will tell you if it doesn't like it. I did start out light, and then gradually increased weight.

me too. i lift as heavy as i can. dont notice anything different. mine saline too..silicone only approved for 2nd surgery or reconstructive when i got mine done. subpectorals will look more natural even if your body fat gets really low. only thing ive notice is that because i have NO boobs i can sometimes see ripples on the side if i bend over.

I have unders too and I say "Lift girl"! I was very nervous at first. It didn't hurt, it just felt weird. Now I'm 9months post op and lifting heavy and doing lots of pushups. They look weird while I'm flexing the chest muscles, but other than that, they look perfect.

Go for it! I am only 7 months post getting mine and lifting heavy chest. Yes...it feels weird, but doesn't seem to bother them.
I am down to about 14% BF now and they still look okay, but ripple a bit underneath. I have salines though.
