    frozen meat vs fresh meat

    in particular frozen chicken:

does anyone know any significant difference between frozen meats and fresh meats besides taste, etc. im talking about whether or not frozen meats are bad in a diet or significantly lower in value diet wise? especially over time

i ask this cause frozen chicken is just a lot more cheaper and manageable then getting fresh meat everyday. what does everyone else do?

i ask cause i plan to use it as my main source of protein for a long time since tuna is getting pretty bad for me.

Nutritionally equivalent. Taste and texture? That's up to you to decide.
No sir, I don't like it.

I get big bags of Tyson fozen skinless breasts and they are incredibly moist and tasty (I always add spices too). The 5lb bag is about 12 dollars.

That would sound like a good deal around my area where ~1.25 lbs of organic (no hormones) chicken breast is $4-5...

As for frozen meats, I would check to make sure the ingredients don't have too much crap in it as most companies will load the meat up with preservatives and other "marinades" that are usually loaded with junk.

I can buy 6lbds around here for just a little over ten bucks.

If I buy in bulk from sams club it's even cheaper.

wow lucky americans -- no wonder you guys can get so huge! lol

here its average $4-5 per pound. If your lucky you can get it at the cheapest store on sale every few months for $2-3 a pound. They just had it at my grocery store for $2 a lb so I loaded up, my freezer is packed with chicken breast lol.

Wish I had a giant freezer so I could stalk up properly!
