Any Good Reviews On Cla Supplements
Hello All
Bought some CLA today and will mainly be using it for fat loss. I was wondering if anybody has seen success with this supplement.

I've taken it in the past, but regretfully while I was on it I wasn't nearly as motivated as I am now with my diet and exercise. Therefore I didn't have any success to speak of.

Is Numero Uno
It's worthless for fatloss.

Transforming myself
I decided to try it but it's really hard to say whether it's really doing anything or not. I'm eating very clean at about 700 calories under my BMR and working out regularly so that alone would account for the fat loss I've seen so far. I don't think I'll be buying more when my supply runs out.

Meditate
I used to take Xenadrine 8-hour NRG.
But it mainly a thermogenic stimulant, I've never tried CLA, but I've heard that it's an effective fat-burner.
Relax, close your eyes, breath deep, ...........

Cla Sups
I read on the net that you have to take 3,400 mg for it to burn fat, anything less will help keep your cholestorol at a good level. I take 4000 mg a day right now.

Isn't it one of the Omega 3 fats that we're lacking in our diets because of our lack of eating grass-fed beef and drinking milk from grass-fed cows?

if your looking for fat loss.....i will keep you updated, I am guinee piging my gf on a diet pill i made up.....so far so good, best diet pill I have ever taken..lets see how it works for actuall loss...
I say best because, when I took it, not only did I get the Thermogenic response (almost broke out in a sweat standing there)...but I got the stimulus response too.
I am looking to bring this to market, anyone have any ideas...... I think the difference between me and supplement companys if I brought this to market, is mine would work....NONE OF THIS useless crap, that people put out, that they claim have cla or whatever, but the amounts in it are so minute it wouldnt effect anything.
I do not sugar coat things...but you got in the condition your in by "sugar coating".

I think if it works, it would be prudent to at least consider selling the formula. As testing for health effects would be necessary and a 2 person trial is not enough. If somebody has an adverse reaction...can you handle the lawsuit financially?
Just something to think about

An artilce from WebMD Medical News:
CLA Weight Loss Debate Continues
May 22, 2006 -- Researchers continue to probe whether or not supplements of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) affect weight loss.
A new study shows that obese or overweight people who took CLA supplements every day for six months lost about 3 extra pounds than those who took a daily pill containing only olive oil, which doesnt include CLA (placebo).
That study, presented in Los Angeles, at Digestive Disease Week 2006, was funded by Lipid Nutrition, a company that makes CLA weight loss products. Lipid Nutritions Sandra Einerhand, PhD, was the chief researcher.
Another recent study came to a different conclusion. In March, researchers reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that obese people who took CLA supplements for a year didnt lose more weight than those who took a placebo.
Latest CLA Study
Einerhands study included 118 people who were overweight or obese, based on BMI (body mass index). A total of 105 participants finished the study, Einerhand told reporters in a teleconference.
Participants BMI (body mass index) ranged from 28 to 32. BMI relates weight to height. BMI of 30 or more is considered obese; BMI of 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight but not obese.
Einerhand and colleagues randomly assigned participants to take either the CLA or placebo capsules daily for six months. Participants didnt know if theyd gotten CLA or the placebo.
Three months into the study, the CLA group had lost an extra 1.5 pounds of body fat, compared to the placebo group, the study shows.
At the studys end, the CLA group lost 5.6% more body fat mass than those taking the placebo. The CLA group also lost about 3.3 pounds more than the placebo group.
Where the Fat Was Lost
Women in the CLA group lost fat from their legs and abdomen. Men in the CLA group lost fat from their abdomens. CLA wasnt associated with fat loss from the arms, Einerhand told reporters.
No adverse events were related to CLA and participants sensitivity to insulin -- a hormone that controls blood sugar -- didnt change during the study, Einerhand also said.
This study shows that CLA supplementation for six months in healthy overweight and obese adults affected body fat mass in specific regions of the body and was well tolerated, write Einerhand and colleagues in their studys abstract.
All effects were independent of diet and exercise, Einerhand told reporters, adding that waist size and waist-to-hip ratio also dropped in the CLA group (waist size dropped by about 1.2 inches).
As for BMI, individuals with the highest BMI responded best to CLA, the researchers write.
Einerhands study and the other study published in Marchs issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition both used the same CLA dose. The studies had similar numbers of participants. The study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition only included moderately obese people and lasted for a year, twice as long as Einerhands study. The study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition was funded by another company that makes CLA products, Cognis Corporation.

This was pretty cool. I was wrong about the kind of fat it is. It turns out it's a "good" trans fatty acid.
