Is canned Rice pudding a good snack?

I've been having a tin of rice pudding in the afternoons, around 4:30 - 5:00 pm as snack before going home from work at 6.

    Here's the label:
    380 cals
    13.6g protein
    35.5g carbs (19.1g sugars)
    1.9g total fat (1.1g saturated)
    trace fibre
    0.1g sodium
    = 44% RDA of calcium

I sometimes mix in a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter too.

    I have to try this.

I love rice pudding, and tapioca as well. I like a bunch of raisins and cinnamon in it.

I'm sure you could find a way to add vanilla whey and make some homemade...I will start working on a recipe.

If you're over or at your calories, yes the sugar will go directly into fat stores.

    bump.

I had some Thai food for dinner, and I had a bunch of leftover white rice, so I finally tried making a high-protein pudding. I used light vanilla soymilk, vanilla soy protein powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and splenda. I think I overcooked it a little bit though, since it wasn't as creamy as I would have liked..

But it isn't too bad for a first try. I only used a half scoop of protein though. I don't want it to get too proteiny in taste or texture.
