buying a bow flex, which one?
My parents are purchasing a bow flex for their house and I'm planning to use it when I go over there, I was wondering which is the best bowflex to pick? I will not be replacing the gym with this just going to enjoy a home gym.
There's a bowflex power rod home gym or a bowflex revolution

Tell your parents to get a power rack, bench, barbell, plates, dumbells and they will still have money left over. bowflex = waste of money.

The odds that his parents will get a power rack, etc, are between slim and none. They've probably never even worked out before.
That being said, they still shouldn't get a Bowflex, not a new one anyway, because it's extremely overpriced. Look on Craigslist.com or locally on eBay and you'll see them selling for a fraction of what they originally cost.

There are a couple of people who have, but probably won't admit to it around here.

Here's a pic of the more recent model, the Galena Pro.You can see the Bodycraft logo embroidered on the seat back cushion on the press station. The leg press is optional.I would give you a direct link to it on Bodycraft's website but you can't do that with their layout.Go to strength, legacy, and then Galena Pro at the bottom.

It's a EXTREMELY overpriced piece of **** intended for people who want to get smaller rather than bigger. Why pay 2k+ for crap like that? Don't do it.

Bowflex Ultimate 2
Hello,
Please tell your parents to do themselves a favor and stay away from the bowflex. I payed $2500 for my Ultimate 2, and sold it for $500 to get it to stop collecting dust and free some space. The Bowflex commercials sound great, but the machine is not. I've worked out on the Bowflex for a year, yes I gained 20lbs because of it, and Bodybuilding.com's guaranteed to work mass gain system, but once i stepped foot into a gym for the first time, I couldn't bend my arms straight for 3 days. The effect I got in the gym that first day I NEVER felt with the bowflex in the year I owned it. Now I am still paying off a machine that I wish I never had purchased.
KEY THING: The bowflex has a guaranteed result warranty in something like 60 days, but what they DONT tell you is in order to cash in on it, you have to ship back the bowflex in ITS ORIGINAL BOXES, AND THERE ARE 7 OF THEM!!!!! freakin IMPOSSIBLE! There are also like 10000000 pieces, and took me 5 hours to set up finally. The bows ended up losing their strength, and I am just so sad i purchased it, hopefully you take my word.. I was 6'5 180lbs when i started, so please purchase something else. Please.. haha, Thanks
