    Jump rope/ How to measure?

Is there a right way to measure a jump rope for your height? Every time I get a jump rope I cut it to long or to short? Is there a rule of thumb for this.

One way to determine the ideal length is to step one foot in the middle of the rope. The handles should reach up to approximately armpit height.
