    Sorry I miss read this as what is good % for reps of 3. I would probably do 80% for squats, higher for deads.

    doing workouts based off high rep maximums is silly. Try 80% if seems to much drop some weigh, though I doubt it will be. You should have longer rest between your sets for an 8x3 day though.

    normally i'd agree but, i usually just do 2x6-10 reps for squats or deadlifts on this day but i want to train my power squat and i cant do high reps on it, it cramps my legs up

    it is gonna depend on how you feel, how often you train lower reps, and how long you rest between sets.

    when my squat was around 485, i did 8x3 at 425 one day. I rested about 3 minutes each time and it kicked my ass.
