Been doing a lot of trolling over on Life Extension forums and they seem to basically tear apart multivitamins in general...they say only about two in existence are worth your while and it's AOR Ortho-Core and Life Extension Mix. They basically break down all the issues with Vitamin B and E and how one of the B vitamins in most multi's speeds up the aging process or this or that, there's a lot to go over. I've been going with Orange Triad for almost a year now and I realized they'd rip that to shreds over there...they even tore apart Millennium Sport's MVP-365 when someone asked about it...
Anyhow, they're high on Reservatrol over there, Vitamin D3, etc etc.
Anyone have any experience with Ortho-Core, Life Extension Mix, Multi-Basics 3 (by AOR) or the like? Or perhaps general health products? It's an interesting subject, especially when dealing with supplementation...

Peter Ledrew will love this thread! I don't know what it is about him and AOR supplements.
Ortho-core is on my list of supplements to buy, as I run out of my current vitamin stash. Either that or doing what dinoiii suggests. Which is....
Vitamin A, C, E, and selenium 5 days on two off. B complex twice a day as a staple. And CMZ or another mineral chelate blend.

Do you notice more energy throughout the day? Personally if I take a multi that has a hefty dose of vitamin b at night, I have a harder time falling asleep.
Looking at orthocore, I think I would split it into two doses, and use a half dose (3 caps) of CMZ before bed. This thread has peaked my interest, I've been reading through tons of old threads trying to formulate my own vitamin stack. Hopefully intelligent conversation will prevail!

I have a greater mental energy. I really like vitamin b's. Im going to try a megadose of B12. Dr Houser seems to be a proponent of that.

Which "Life Extension forums" are you referring to? There's a fair bit of speculation that takes place over at those places though. They may theorize that a certain form may lead to increased oxidation via a specific pathway but the body is far more complex than just individual independent pathways so their theories aren't always with merit.
Yes, there is indeed a deeper component to it all.

Been takin core for about a year. I consider the best multi to be the most important part of my stack so I shell out for this one everytime. You know what they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. For me, Scivation brought me up to speed on healthy cutting and training habits.

i'm taking the LEF mix (tabs) right now, at 7-8 per day. i can't say I notice anything, but with a multivitamin, you're not really supposed to. I do know that I look at that back label and feel good knowing that I'm getting great forms of vitamins and minerals, plus tons of extra goodies.
There's substantial evidence to support the fact that you should really take separate vitamins and minerals throughout the day instead of a multivitamin because of absorption and whatnot, if you feel like getting really into it
