why are fatasses now called "plus sized"?
They already got a layer of blubber to protect them from cold and physical harm, now they need euphemisms to protect them from verbal harm?
is this just more politically correct bull****? Who the **** decided our society needs to be so damn soft and accepting?! I been hearing this **** on the TV and today i heard it on the radio.
yes rant

Well, if you hurt their feelings by calling them fatasses they might actually stop eating McDonalds and get on a treadmill every once in a while so.....
Actually, there's no downside to calling them fat.
Calling them "plus size", however perpetuates their notion that being overweight pieces of **** is okay.
Whatever, if these worthless "plus size" people want to keep stuffing their faces with "plus size" Macs they can go suffer a "plus size" heart attack at 45 and get buried in a "plus size" casket.

Why is "fat" and "obese" offensive to begin with? What makes "plus size" less offensive? It really doesn't make sense.

Its the derogatory association of those words. Plus size doesn't have negative societal connotation.

Well, that's my point. Plus size is only accepted because it was likely created by a fat person, haha. The social stigma of being overweight is present regardless. They can call their cloths w/e they like, but at the end of the day, they will still be looked down upon for being ignorant, lazy and costly to society. They are a burden.
Worth noting, obese is a technical term concerning % of body fat...there's no reason anyone should be offended by it. It's like me being offended when someone responds to a post of mine with, "you're 5'9"."

i think it's more to sell merchandise.
clothes and what not.
plus size doesn;t necessarily mean fat.
It can denote a woman with a large build.
Women with large builds do exist
not every women in 5'5" 100 pounds

x2
"plus size" implies you're getting more of something good. for example, all guys want to have a "plus size" penis but no one wants an obese one.
But it's hogwash wordplay that enables and perpetuates self-destructive behaviour. I mean what's next? Are crackheads going to be called "the chemically-enhanced"?
