    You loop one end around pull up bar, and put your feet or knees in the other end.

    Kind of like a slingshot.

    they work..

    I've used them, they did help in getting used to pullups. They are better than using pullup assist machines. I also have the ironwoody ones, if I'm not mistaken I got the "intermmediate" package. I used just the mini ones until I got to somewhere around 8 pullups for a set or two, after that I was able to bypass them all together - with lower reps obviously.Just saying you don't need to go crazy on getting many of them. Quality seems good, they haven't gotten overstretched nor is there any noticeable damage...I haven't used them for other workouts, even though I probably should...

    Yeah, they work really well and are cheaper than the competition's, if I remember correctly. I've had mine for about a year and they show no signs of wear. You'll want to either wear long pants or throw a towel over the band to avoid tearing out your leg hair.

    I bought them for assisted pullups but have ended up using them more for assisted dips...

    I didnt even know they made such a thing! AWSOME!!! Ive got to get me some of these! The shorter the band the more assist it provides? Does it matter how tall a person is when ordering these bands?

    I wonder if anyone has ever made some of their own?.........

    I have heard these are actually a bit better than the iron woody. (and the cost is better obviously).

    Thats the ones. Bought 2 packages so my wife can develop her strength. Add and remove as needed. Much cheaper then Ironwoody. You could also get the 1/16 that is also 60 inches as long as its used on combination with the thicker one.

    I was wondering the same thing. 113" is pretty long.... How will it assist you if the band is longer than you?

    I am paying attention to the thread. I was stating that the iron woody bands are 41" long, because you were concerned about the other bands being 113" long.

    I was just trying to help.

    Why don't you just work on that pull up/dip station with pulleys.

    Negged.

    I guess I thought that it was obvious.

    ...anyway without trying to start a war here, I guess it comes down to how they're measured. I know the iron woody bands are measured 41" fold to fold. Possibly the measurement for the other brand of band is the circumference of the band. That's the only way I could see them working for assisted pull ups being 113"...

    ...anyway without trying to start a war here, I guess it comes down to how they're measured. I know the iron woody bands are measured 41" fold to fold. Possibly the measurement for the other brand of band is the circumference of the band. That's the only way I could see them working for assisted pull ups being 113"...
    Yeah...I believe the pallet bands are being measured by circumference. But, wouldnt it still be too long? How long do you think it would be from fold to fold?

    Oh, and my pulley system doesnt work...LoL. Too much friction I guess.

    If it's circumference is 113" it would be 56.5".

    Circumference = pi * diameter

    113 = 3.14 * Diameter

    Pallet Band Diameter = 35"

    Iron Woody's diameter = 41"

    What's the problem? Trust me, they work just fine.

    Everyone's negged for having the wrong answer....j/k

    I picked up some bands for $8 at play it again sports. They certainly helped with pull ups...I barely need the bands anymore...also thinking about selling my lat pulldown machine
