A Sad Day!!
I just learned that the 2009 NPC Heartland Natural Classic has been CANCELLED! This show was truly the best local level show I've ever been to! The show sponsor and his wife, Randy and Julie Leppala really know how to treat the competitors with respect and kindness, keep the show moving and entertaining, not to mention the awesome awards they presented!! I was really looking forward to seeing this show even bigger than it was last year. The competitors I met were all so greatful and excited for the next year.
Sadly, the NPC Regional Chairwoman has caused so many problems for them, problems that can only be summed up as unprofessional. I cannot believe the NPC would let this happen to such an awesome addition to the NPC lineup of shows especially since the shows in this area are less than adequate and do not compare to the professionalism, attention to detail or the treatment of the competitors. Perhaps, Jim Manion will see this and take some action to improve the quality of shows in our area and prevent the truly awesome show promoters from being treated so poorly!
