Haha my legs are on fire today. Walking up the steps to our apartment has been tough.
I'm not trying to hit anything in particular, to be honest. My quads have never been lacking, and even at 249 (with a target of 210-215 for the show) I'm already getting separation in them. I'd like to think my legs and traps will look decent come show time. The rest of me... let's hope I can bring them up to sub-par by May 6th!900/705/633/2125

No abs today as I had to get home to pack for my trip to NYC this weekend. One of my best friends lives in Manhattan and has worked/is working his way up the ranks at Bloomberg. Peter Luger's for a massive amount of high quality steak Friday night. BOOM. We'll hit up his gym so I can stay on top of my lifting and cardio.

Solid workout at Crunch Gym in Manhattan, NY. Cardio afterwards, and then walking a total of about 2-3 miles after realizing I had left my ID at the gym after making it 3/4 of the way home. The gym isn't a powerlifting haven, but they have EVERYTHING including live DJs on Tuesdays. Pretty crazy.

Just realized I'm supposed to do 3 sets of 12 on the RDL's and not 4. Looks like I got the work in that I needed after all. I think I'm going to bump up the pulldowns for the FST7 next week. I don't know if I'm supposed to start high and work down if need be, or just straight weight throughout. Anyone know?

Dips are going up but bench is going down. I think I'm going to switch the low incline to a 531 rep scheme with BBB assistance. Doing the same weight with reps weekly doesn't seem to be doing much.

Solid workout. The close stance squats suck. I can see how they destroy knees. I think after this meet I'm going to begin my journey towards a 700lb raw squat with just a belt and knee sleeves.

Oh how I've missed my standing OHPs. I think I might add in a set of push presses after my last standing OHP to get a bit more volume and get the shoulders/body used to heavier weights. It's worked well in the past, so I'm adding it back in.

I'm going back to 531 for my low incline bench, followed by four sets of ten for some extra volume afterwards. Actually, I'm going to be doing this on all four of my major lifts: bench, OHP, squats, and deadlifts.
Side note: I haven't heard from Eddie in awhile and haven't received any emails back with the questions I've had. I hope all is well with him and that everything is ok.

I watched a video of Phil Heath yesterday and was just blown away by his arm development. I saw him doing barbell curls with 75lbs on the bar. I saw a video of jay Cutler doing something similar with his Fat Gripz with 65 or 75lbs on the bar as well. My arms are close to 10" smaller than either of those guys, so a bit more volume with a lighter weight should force some blood into my broceps and hopefully induce some growth.

Slept terribly the night before, so I opted to do bent over rows instead of deadlifts. I'll do my deads and RDLs next week. I'm thinking about alternating between the two.

I AM getting ready for a bodybuilding show. I'm sure in another month or two Shelby will have some before/after or pre-show pics up. I don't have the biggest traps in the world, but they will NOT be lacking when I'm on stage. Traps and legs will be golden come showtime. Everything else...

I really like how the cross chest Hammer Strengths hit my upper chest. Basically, you sit on a Hammer Strength bench and face almost perpendicular to the handle and push it across the chest. It really hits the upper middle part of my chest, which is the most lacking. Might start doing these on chest and shoulder days to get a little extra volume/blood to that area.
