    How long before my workout should i eat my Pre workout low GI Carb meal?

    Hey, i've heard different timings, 2hrs, 1hr, half hr. Which is it? Many thanks.

    Whole food pre-workout meals I personally do 60-90 minutes pre, if it's a shake I do it 30 minutes pre.

    I have a full sized breakfast of whole foods and then workout 1.5-2 hrs later. I don't like feeling full when i workout, but i love breakfast and need to get a sizeable amount of calories in first thing. Find what works with you.

    Personally, if it's 200 calories or less, I don't need to wait longer than 30 mins. 200-400 calories I give it at least an hour, 400+ calories and I need 1.5-2 hours otherwise it'll end up all over the floor

    If its low GI it will apparently take some time to digest; my pre-workout is usually scoop of whey in a cup of oats and a small chicken breast. I wait 90-120 minutes to make sure the carbs digest by the time I get to the gym.
