Lunch?
So got some Ezekiel 4.9 Bread and decided to try some things today, salads were starting to grow on me. Wanted tuna and wanted egg, but didn't think the 2 would mix well. Tried it anyways and made it with low sodium tuna and microwave egg whites, with a piece of low fat cheese on the bread. It was pretty damn good and tasty. Any one else have this before? And would this a healthy alternative?
Also paid 4.50 for the loaf of Ezekiel, wasn't sure if that is pricey or about right?

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but what's so good about Ezekiel bread?
I hear a lot about and have yet to find it in the UK, I think I have a recipe for it but I would prefer to buy it if I could, simple because I haven't a clue what it's supposed to taste like.

I tried looking for it here in NJ - couldn't find it anywhere. Not even at Whole Foods or Wegmans. I finally gave up on it and now I have organic bread made by The Vermont Co. It's so good!

I do this because I can. I can because I want to. I want to because you said I couldn't.

Sounds good...and $4.50 is about right for ezekial bread. If you go back to salads, try toasting the ezekial bread hard into croutons. YUM.
Have you ever made a tuna patty with oats? I do a can of mostly drained tuna, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup dry oats and maybe some veggies (veggies are not a necessity). You could melt some shredded cheese into it or over it too, if you wanted to....and season with something Mrs. Dash-ish. That'd be similar to what you made but ends up being cheaper per serving.

If you have a Kroger near you, look for it in the organic food section. It's a bit cheaper at my local Kroger in comparison to the Health food store.

They do have it at Whole Foods, but not in the regular bread section. It's refrigerated and kept most of the time near where the tofu is.
