Calories for losing fat?

I'm confused.

I've had many calculators tell me that I need to go anywhere below 1200 calories to 1500 calories a day to lose weight.

Basically I'm 16, 132lbs and 5ft 4.
My body fat is somewhere in about 20-23% when it was taken at the gym, and I don't even know if thats right.

I'll let you be the judge.

Certainly, with the lifestyle I live I think I'm fairly active. But like most the summer has taken its toll on me :P
I run every day, I do about 3 miles in 16 minutes and on the days I don't do that I go to the gym 3 days a week doing the program I was given by the instructor, which seems to be working so far, since I can feel ache pretty much everywhere when I'm done in the gym though the instructor is going to vary and give me more excercises when next week is up.

I'm quite confused, and don't know what to do here in regards to my caloric intake and what I should be eating.
I was trying to follow this for my diet: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k288/dlx21/222.jpg
and so far this week I've lost about 1.5 pounds (I wasn't following it the best this week, I think I need to up my caloric intake)

Should I keep going with what I'm doing or is there anything I should change?

Really what I'm aiming for is to be lean as possible, with a fair bit of muscle and see how I go from there, but I really need advise on what to do here.

Hey thanks for your reply mate.

Initally thats what I was gonna do, but just wanted suggestions to see how I can improve upon what I do further.

I will gain muscle since I'm new to the gym, even when cutting because my body is adjusting to the routine, is that correct?

Make sure you drink lots of water or else that weight loss could just be water loss.
