    Pulled lat muscle: help!

    I pulled my right lat muscle yesterday when doing upright rows. I've got some bengay and some doan's back medicine. Any recommendations?

    Let it heal. I hurt myself doing pullups with 90lbs strapped to my waist. Hurt really badly and took a long time to heal.

    When I pulled it I felt the muscle give and then the spot was very warm. It's very tight right now and sometimes I get a sharp pain that makes me freeze in place.

    Just done the same damn thing! T-Bar rows + not warming up properly!! F*cking school boy error. Dammit.

    Felt my right lower lat (probably not the correct term) go during the lift, dropped the weight and tried to stretch it out. No such luck so I just called it a day.

    Its so tight it hurts when I move, hurts when I don't.

    Especially annoying as I have been making solid progress this year, how long do you guys think I will be out?

    I plan on trying not to move for a couple of days other than very light stretching and taking pain killers and some hot baths. Any other suggestions? Other than not being a dickhead and not warming up properly.

    Grrr.

    My lower left lat!!!!!

    I did hard back workout & focused on getting a great stretch on the pull ups & lay pull downs & rows went heavier on all lifts then body weight pulls ups wide & narrow at end I felt tired after srs 25 sets like 8-15 reps on each mostly 8-12 though then hopped in truck and turned to left and felt knot I lower left back it didn't go away sucks it localized pain not pinched nerve. Just been icing & taking aleve was takin ibprofen. This has been about well 72 hours ago now it's not better or worse I keep thinking it's getting better during evenings when I'm up & walking around but in Morning it's still as heck. I guess I will just keep taking days off I mean picking **** up hurts don't know what else to do some tell me moist what others say is stay away from heat OMG!!! Heat no!!! So I've had pinched nerves before they suck but so does a pulled muscle in back in like low but not waist line I think I over stretches or over worked it in the close grip pull ups after body was tired I was stretching lats like never before then I get hurt lol sucks.
