    Working chest and triceps together?

    I am currently on a four day split, but whenever I do chest and triceps I get real sore for about 3 to 4 days. The soreness is affecting my current program. Looking for a new split solution.
    Currently

    M shoulders
    T Legs
    T Chest/Triceps
    F Back/biceps

    you might be overworking them. when i workout thats when i know i overdid it. just a thought though.

    i wish i still got sore. i was told taking a 10 minute jog after a workout is suppose to recirculate your blood cleaning out some lactic acid? from the muscles you worked. idunno try it.

    ill give it a shot. btw i usually get sore after all workouts,but not as bad as with the chest/tricep.

    Triceps only need 2 exercises and 2 sets per exercise max. And no need for warmup sets either.

    i think its a bad combo its better to keep them seperate so by the time you get to the next body part your not burnt out for ex:

    chest/biceps
    back/triceps
    shoulders/forearms/traps
    quads/calves/ham's/abs
    i rep back

    Can you fill us in on what your current chest + tri day looks like? You might just be overdoing it. No reason not to group these together IMO.

    yeah what does your chest/triceps routine look like ? This is what I'm currently doing for chest-triceps with a 1min rest.

    barbell bench press 3x12
    flat flyesm3x12
    incline bench press3x12
    incline flyes 2x12
    skull crushers 3x12
    dumbbell pullover 3x12
    triceps kick backs 3x12

    I get sore for a few days, but all is great Since I hit it pretty hard I give them about 8 days rest then do it all over again. I currently use an Every other day training program

    weighted dips
    close grip bench
