You know your a shopping addict when...
You have 6 bags from Target that have been sitting in the dining area for over a week, unpacked and you can not name one thing that is in any of them because you have gone to Target twice since and can't keep track of what you bought. (and this is not the first time...actually happens about once a month)
Since May 08 you have bought 7 pairs of goggle for tanning, 5 phone chargers, 10 pairs of shoes, and 9 handbags...that you can't find and only used once if at all.
You own 3 vacuums but never clean. 3 IPods to wear at the gym you hold a membership to, 20+ workout outfits, around 5 pairs of gym shoes, and over 30 brand new gym socks but you NEVER go to the gym!
You can't see your carpet and have to push clothes to one side of the bed because your bedroom closet, extra room, extra room's closet, and garage are all pack full of clothes and you have no were to put your new ones.
You paid $40 extra to overnight your Victoria Secret order to let it sit in the unopened box on your floor for over a week now.
Instead of the usually collection of grocery bags people keep for trash or various other reuse purposes you have a collection of bags from stores in the mall. LARGE bags.
You have a full library of cook books, 20+ kitchen appliances, 3 cabinets full of baking supplies, and go grocery shopping at least once a week...but you NEVER eat at home unless you pick up take out.
If you don't come home from work with at least 2 shopping bags...it's just because you left them in your car.
The limited calls you personally to tell you about 30% off friends and family night which YOU don't need a coupon like everyone else because you are one of their top 10 customers...and less than 1/25th of your wardrobe is from the limited.
lol. All true stories of my roommate...there is more but I'm sick of typing.

Don't you know you don't need money. Most people like that have 3 or 4 credit card bills that would choke a horse. I would think she would have trouble finding a man too. Most men run from a woman who spends like that!

I'm glad you said that was your roommate. I was about to gently suggest you needed help...LOL
I hate shopping (which explains my lack of wardrobe...LOL), so I totally don't understand how someone can buy that much stuff. Insanity.

I don't think the fact that someone is worse gives you leeway, if that's where your mind is headed.

90% of the charges on your credit/debit cards are from clothing/shoe stores

My last boyfriend was a shopaholic. Card-carrying member of Debtor's Anonymous and all. He had something like 150 t-shirts and 50 pairs of jeans, yet every week he'd come home with more clothes and make plans to buy more ****. Meanwhile his house is being foreclosed on (despite borrowing thousands from his parents to make the payments, some of which he spent on--you guessed it--clothes), and his student loans are in default with no chance of him ever paying them.
Yeah, seriously bad. I have a Target addiction too (how could I not? I grew up less than a mile from the very first Target store) and I can go nuts at the used bookstore. But living in a 1BR apartment, you can't really collect a lot of "stuff" and have room for it. Plus, I spent 4 years paying off my credit cards, and boy, did that teach me restraint like nothing else could have.
Now, every time I think, "I want a new ____!" I have a voice in my head saying, "You don't REALLY need that."

Ha ha ah!!! Nah, I'm just nowhere near that bad, thank goodness! I do have a penchant for shopping, but I tend to be a tad bit more restrained with my impulses than the subject of the OP.

When UPS and DHL know you by first name.
My buddies wife gets anywhere from 1-3 packages a day. It's funny as $hit, he gets so pissed. Not at her, but he likes to vent to me.

I know the feeling....I've always loved athletic shoes, but being a "grown up" now, my shoe game is changing...But currently I've got 5 pairs of Jordans, 1 Nike IDs, 2 Nike Shox, 1 New balance, and the man upstairs knows I can't even begin to count the number of heels I've got. Let's just say in wedges alone I've got white, green, red, yellow, pink, black, brown, and gold, and then 3 pairs of Rainbows. We won't go into stilletoes right now.

Dwest must have my girl/shoe card. I only have a few pairs of shoes: two pairs of heeled sandals (one brown, one black), one pair of black ankle boots (wear with jeans during fall/winter/spring), a pair of running shoes for the gym, and a pair of black dress heels I wear on the one day every 2-3 years that I dress up.
I've just never cared about shoes, what can I say?

I may be addicted to sporting goods, bats and gloves, shorts etc. I don't like to shop much mainly I know what I want when I get there.
I can stay in the bookstore for a long time though.
