I'll be in there round noon.
I try to keep things in the 8-12 rep range. Lately for DB Press I've been doing 85 x 6 for a few sets so that I have something in the tank for the 100s. I'm trying to build up to 100 x 10 for 3 sets on the DBs.
I try to get creative while I'm in there. Always willing to try something new. But usually my routine is 3-4 (5-6 for certain chest, legs, back) sets per exercise w/ 8-12 rep range. 3-4 exercises for everything but chest and legs which is usually 5-6 exercises. I love hypertrophy. But high weight too .
He wore spandex today ... it was weird"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."

good to see ya. come back and lift whenever, the SJU gym needs some people that actually know what they're doing and talkin about.
Conor is .... well Conor. I'm used to his gheyness by now .
Thanks for the relentless sample too, I'll be tryin that out sometime this week and will get a review up."Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."

CGBP is progressing nicely. Ha and I'm a dumby and thought it was Relentless, actually cytofuse!
Haha for whatever reason I thought it was Relentless. Until I looked and saw that it came in chocolate, and the stuff you gave me ain't chocolate haha.
I'd be interested in trying some relentless maybe. I usually go with oats+whey+banana PWO but couldn't hurt to try something new.
Cytofuse looks interesting too, Raspberry lemonade should be yummy.
Also lemme know how you like clearshot. I always wanted to try oneLast edited by cm383706; 10-11-2008 at 08:29 PM.

Tried out the new gym at school today. Didn't really like it. No lat pull down, no EZ bars or preacher bench, no compound row, no place really to do BB rows. Just didn't like it too much.
Got in an OK workout. Used what there was there, got some nice DB and BB rows in. Just did my usual back/bi workout with more pullups then usual to compensate for other things.
Used the sample of Cytofuse for PWO that Illa gave me yesterday. Raspberry lemonade was the flavor, IT WAS DELICIOUS. Not too sweet or anything, seriously was really really tasty. I would drink it as a drink if it wasn't a supplement. Might have to pick some up."Pain is temporary. X-Factor and STOKED! Day 21 - LEGS
1. Squats
135 x 12
185 x 8
3 x 235 x 5 + 10 lbs. for 3 x 5
185 x 8
135 x 27 ya rly
2. Speed DL's
135 x 10 x 3
Superset 3a. and 3b. --- 1:30 min. cycle between sets
3a. Leg Extensions
155 x 12 x 3
3b. Leg Curls
115 x 12 x 3
Superset 4a. and 4b.
4a. BB Shrug
185 x 10 x 3
4b. Seated Calf Raise
90 x 10 x 3
Thoughts: Really didn't think I was gonna have that great of a squat day today. Was amped up on the way to the gym but my warm up set just didn't feel right. Well I was wrong. Smashed 235 for 5 reps and 3 sets pretty easily. Then destroyed the last set pushin out 27 reps at 135.
I'm gonna continue doing what I'm doing to try and increase squats. I'm gonna start at 3 x 5 for a weight and once I can get that up to about 3 x 8 for that weight I'll push it up 10 or 15 lbs and start the process over. This has been working for me lately. Less than a month ago I could barely get 225 x 5 for one set.
Dosage: 1 X and 2 Stoked, 1 X, 1 X and 2 Stoked, 1 X

Yeah past two days have been terrible. Could barely walk yesterday!
Thanks man. Legs are coming along nicely. Seriously my legs have blown up since I seriously started squatting correctly and I'm progressing so much.
Workout comin up in a little!"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."

X-Factor and STOKED! Day 23 - CHEST
1. BB Bench
135 x 10
185 x 6
205 x 4
225 x 3 x 3 x 3 (not that difficult)
185 x 5 x 3 (reps x sets)(easy)
135 x 10
2. Smith Incline Press
155 x 10 x 3 DROP ---> 135 x failure
3. BB Power Press
145 x 8 + 10lbs
155 x 8
165 x 6 ---> 135 x 8
4. Bent Over Cable Fly
6 sets x 12 reps + 1 set and 2 reps per set
5. Machine Press - Vertical Grip
3 sets x 10 reps
Thoughts: You'll notice I started off slow on BB bench. 185 is a weight I can rep 10+ with ease and 205 at least 8 times. But I wanted to keep some in the tank for 225. Got 3 sets for 3 reps each at 225. And it really wasn't that hard. My goal hopefully by the end of this log is 225 for a 5 x 5. And after today I'm thinking that it should be attainable.
Great chest day all around! STOKED about getting 225 for a 3 x 3.
Dosage: 1 X and 2 Stoked, 1 X, 1 X and 2 Stoked, 1 X
Weight: 179lbs. +1lb. from last week
Last week I weighed myself like thurs. or fri. after a wednesday weigh in and I was at like 180. But that was def water. I felt really good today and this is deffinatly solid weight. Gaining at about 1lb. a week is good, might push for 1.25 to 1.5 a week for the second bottle of X-Factor to achieve my goal of 185+ lbs.Last edited by cm383706; 10-15-2008 at 12:24 PM.
