Scientific nutrition or quack?

Most hollywood/celeb trainers are usually wack jobs. This guy is interesting- he was a former bodybuilder, and has studied nutrition and fitness(according to the article). Check out the write up here:http://www.nypost.com/pagesixmag/iss...i+Body+Shocker

He says he manipulates diet based on individual's blood work. (Who knows exactly what he means- he could be checking cholesterol for all we know.) Sometimes he has the client eat just carbs for a week, then protein, then just vegetables.... He really brings them down to a low weight then adds back the muscle that was lost. Because they all get so thin, that leads me to believe he has them on an extremely restrictive diet.

Could this guy be using anything scientific behind his theory of splitting up foods and the "blood work" thing, or is he just getting lucky with a few of his clients that follow his diet and it work? By work I mean: get them thin if they follow his diet, then add back the muscle lost, thus creating the illusion of "total body transformation".

I would love to hear what some of you think. Especially if you know more about nutrition science etc. *cough*Emma-leigh*

THat's funny b/c I'm seeing a man that helps people who want to compete and he puts them on a very strict diet to get us as low as he can in weight then switches our meals ro gain muscle. It works though, it's amazing but now 12wks. into it and it's hard b/c it's the same eating.

Give her a nudge to see if she might wander over here

Dude, I would love to be Emma-leigh's intern. Plus I have never been to the outback.

Interesting. I bet you have to be careful not to go overboard when you can eat more. You'll have to let us know the results.
