    Caffeine and working out, how does it affect you?

    I tried working out after taking some energy tea drink and my heart rate BPM went up and I got a little, almost jittery, but felt like I had no energy. It was definitely detrimental to my workout.

    Have you had a similar experience?

    How does caffeine affect your workouts?




    Additional info: I never really drink caffeinated drinks, usually just milk, juice and water for my fibras.

    There's very few studies on caffeine and it's effects on strength and it's still up for debate as to whether it has any effect at all.

    I dont like caffeine before working out. I feel as if I have too much energy, but more like jittery energy. And it detracts away from focusing on the actual lift.
