So I'm watching a show on Food Network called Food Science or something, and they're talking about whether or not dietary cholesterol is bad for serum cholesterol levels. The person talking is from Popular Science magazine which doesn't qualify him as a nutritionist or doctor or anything as far as I know, even though I don't trust nutritionists and doctors very much, either.
So he says, "No, eating cholesterol isn't bad as recent research has shown when eating eggs, the cholesterol in yolks is actually beneficial...LDL...HDL...blah blah blah..."
So then for a visual aid, they show a deep frier full of French fries, and the guy says, "Saturated fat is what you have to watch for!"
So I sit bolt upright and throw my hands in the air and yell, "No, it couldn't have anything to do with the potatoes, could it?!"
I can't believe they're still blaming saturated fat for everything.
