Lately I have been attempting to bulk up, looking to go from 175 to about 190~195 then cut back to HOPEFULLY 185 lean. I had been going really well and was up to 184 but when i did my weight today I was down to 179. I've been sticking to my same routine working out. Free weights 4 days a week 1-1.5 hrs, 2 mile run and M W and TH I have USAF PC (running pushups etc etc) and playing football 2-3 times a week. I haven't really changed my diet either. I'm not certain if i'm just not taking in enough calories (clean please) through proteins and high-ish GI carbs. I'm a complete novice at diet so I ASSUME thats where my problem is. If anyone can give me some insight about a better diet to help me achieve my goals then PLEASE feel free to help this lost soul.

if your energy expenditure increased sense when you weighed 184, and now you weigh 179, then you lost weight because you weren't eating enough to replace the extra calories you are burning. Just add more of the same, bigger portions.

The whole point of bulking is to gain weight. If you are noticing you are losing weight, like stated above, you aren't bulking. You need to increase your portions.
GREAT foods for bulking include
Peanut Butter, Avacados in moderation, Bananas, Nuts and Milk.
Add an extra peanut butter and banana sandwhich to your meal plan with a glass of milk and let me know how it works out.
