Confused!

Okay, I am eating clean, working out, doing the things I should....lost some inches, but my weight has increased!!!!! I understand that muscle weighs more than fat, but seriously???
Should I focus more on doing cardio?
I have slimmed, but gained. Is one of those things that it will get worse before it gets better?
The scale is really not that big of a factor, but it is highly irratating!!

HELP!

ALICIA

DIET:
(/= OTHER OPTIONS)

6AM- OATMEAL (PROTIEN PANCAKES/ PROTIEN DRINK& APPLE)
9AM- PROTIEN BAR (LOW SODIUM HAM&NONFAT CHEESE/ BEEF JERKEY)
12PM- 6OZ TUNA & 1 CUP CELERY (6OZ OF SEAFOOD & GREEN VEGGIE)
3PM- 1 CUP FAT FREE COTTAGE CHEESE (FAT FREE PUDDING)
6PM- 6OZ CHICKEN &1 CUP BROCCOLI (6OZ MEAT/ 1 CUP GREEN VEGGIES)

I TRY TO EAT ANYTHING WITH COMPLEX CARBS IN MY FIRST 2 MEALS. NO RED MEAT, AND I WATCH MY PORTIONS.....AND I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY!!!!

THANKS FOR THE HELP!

I would judge your loss by the measurements. The scale doesn't tell the whole story. You could have gained a little muscle if you've been lifting some weights. What does your diet look like?

Eating clean is good. Are you sure of your calories? Not an estimate but a real count everyday.

It takes alot of work and time to gain muscle so i dont think that is it. Its probably your diet.

Post what you eat and we might be able to help.

x2. I would imagine its muscle gain. If you have slimmed down,a nd lost some inches than jsut keep doing what you are doing, dont worry too much about the scale.

the type of cardio you do is also important...slaving away on a treadmill for hours can do you more harm then good. if you keep your heartrate to high your body is going to start eating muscle and not fat...interval training is the best thing for buring off fat. on your days you would normally do cardio give this work out a try...it can be done on a treadmill or elliptical. if you find your self extremely winded stretch the walking to 1 minute.

Minutes 1-4 (Warm-Up)
Jog at about 50% effort

Minute 5 (Workout Interval 1)
Sprint 30 seconds at maximum effort Jog/Walk 30 seconds

Minute 6 (Workout Interval 2)
Sprint 30 seconds at maximum effort
Jog/Walk 30 seconds

Minute 7 (Workout Interval 3)
Sprint 30 seconds at maximum effort
Jog/Walk 30 seconds

Minute 8 (Workout Interval 4)
Sprint 30 seconds at maximum effort
Jog/Walk 30 seconds

Minutes 9-12 (Cool-Down)
Jog at about 50% effort

try that for a couple weeks and see how it works for you.

just keep doing what u r doing, like ppl said here, the scale cant always be your true judgment...

u r most likely gaining muscle... plus your bodyfat% could also be lowering even tho your weight may still be the same...

i went threw a 2 month phase where i was stuck around 180-185, but every week when i looked in the mirror , i would notice little changes in my body and i new i was doing things right even tho my weight stayed the same..

i knew my bodyfat% was lowering, bc my abs started to pop out, 1st my top ones, middle ones and the finally the lower abs...

so just keep working hard and u should be fine.

go by what you see in the mirror. dont focus on the scale so much.

also, you didnt include any calories, protein, carbs, fats in your food descriptions. list your workout routine for the week as well. something isnt right im sure.
