Good hamstring exercises anyone?
I do enjoy deadlifts and using the leg curl machine...lunges are lovely...but are there any really awesome hamstring exercises that I'm missing out on?? Something without a machine, if possible.
Also, when I'm doing step-ups for my quads, how many seconds should each step take in order for it to be the most effective (both the step-up and then stepping back down)?
Thanks!

Hyperextensions
machine wise - lying leg curls.

Straight leg (or romanian) deadlifts are good.
Glute-ham raises are the best, because they actually completely stretch the hamstring when you do the movement, unlike leg curls, where it is partially contracted when you start and you do not get a full stretch
