Saw my doctor today and we have decided that I have Hypertension. I informed her that I quit smoking two weeks ago and asked how soon I should see a decrease in my BP. She informed me that smoking doesnt cause or even aggravate High Blood pressure. Is this some new research or is she stoned? I looked at the AHA website and WebMD and they all seem to think that yes, in fact, smoking is a primary factor in high BP. Am I missing something?
Keep in mind that this same Dr tried to give me a 60 day script for Percocet for a broken nose, AFTER I told her I have a long history of becoming very very fond of things that make me feel good. ( And no, I didn't go see her because of the nose, she just noticed it when I went in for something else)
