IronCamp's Journal: A New Start w/SAN Blaze!
Hello all! Welcome to my journal. For those of you who haven't been following my old journal, this is my 2nd journal. I decided this is as a good a time as ever to start a new one, especially since Mrs Muscles pointed out that I had been keeping my old journal for a year!
If you would like to see my old journal, you can access it at:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4083663
Now on to new things. I am starting the BTFFTM diet this week, but w/some very slight variation. I am finding it hard to get the amount of food down in the morning that it suggests for my 1st meal, so I am moving some of those calories to later in the day and I am replacing some of the fat calories (mostly almonds) w/I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spray, b/c I can't manage to get the food down as easily w/o it.
Basically my calorie intake will be as follows (these are approximations):
Non-Carb Up days:
Protein: 190g=760 calories (50%)
Carbohydrates = 65g=260 calories (17%)
Fat: 55 grams = 495 calories (33%)
Total calories 1515 Non-carbohydrate night
Carb up Days (Haven't worked out the calorie break down yet):
Total calories 1938
I am currently doing a 3 day split, but am due to change soon:
Mon: Back/Bis and Cardio
Tues: Cardio
Wed: Legs
Thurs: Cardio
Fri: Chest/Shoulders/Tris
Sat or Sun: Sometimes Cardio
My most recent stats, as of 7/1 are:

I switch exercises every session, so pressing ones are done just on different days.

I would do anything to help my brother and SIL out and Abriana loves having my niece around!

I don't think working shoulders the same day you do chest is a great idea. The are already getting plenty of work.

I'll definitely be following along to see how the new diet works for you! Is it going to be a decrease in cals from your previous diet, or just changing macros?
Have fun with your niece this weekend! I hope your nephew is feeling ok...

I came to that realization this morning! I was so weak on my shoulders, after doing chest...this was the first time that happened to me though. I like to do a 3 day split. When would you suggest they should be worked?
Here's what I currently do:
Back/Bis
Legs
Chest/Shoulders/Tris

With your split, leg day.
Shoulders just don't need a ton of work.

I can definitely do that, especially since I don't do cardio on leg day. Thanks for the suggestion.

another option to experiment with if this doesn't work out is
Back/Tri
Leg/shoulder
Chest/bi
That is what I started doing right before I hurt my arm (not a lifting injury)
I got hurt on the 2nd day of my split so I never made it through. But that is my plan once I am back in it.

Thanks so much for thinking of my nephew. I saw him last night, when I dropped my niece off at the hospital. He is in such good spirits, it's hard to remember that he is sick.

I didn't eat bad, but didn't eat enough calories or protein on my carb up day (Sat) and didn't eat enough protein on Sun. This diet just isn't easy when you are running around crazy taking care of kids! I'm not worried, b/c I am still seeing results.

Hey girl
I have a hard time getting enough protein in too if I'm not tracking... it's one of those things a lot of people struggle with I guess!
If you're seeing results with what you're doing, keep it up!! I'm glad you are liking it so far!
