Before or after
Is it best to do cardio before or after your workout.I`m a newbie,Prob a dumb question.

A 5-10 minute warmup before lifting, but I think it's better to do cardio after lifting. Cardio uses up muscle glycogen that is better used in lifting. If at all possible I'll lift before cardio.

After...you'll get tired and it'll keep your from doing your best lifting. Better yet, do cardio on non-lift days.

as long you do it after you are fine.... you need to be fresh when you start lifting... being tired before cardio is not a bid deal, if anything, depending on the intensity level of your WO and how soon after you start your cardio, it will help you get to your desired heart rate faster... i.e. will help burn more calories.

I`ve been reading alot of diffrent views about this subject.I just fell like I need the energy for the lifting. Then cardio for the rest of my time at the gym.Thanx again.

I do all my excercise in the morning including lifting,
I do lifting first the cardio after (if I'm able  )
