High fat diet leads to acid reflux? (digestion issues)
recently been conditioning myself for a high fat diet, and subsequently has led to digestion issues. i imagine this means i have bad acidic stomach that can't properly take care of it. my assumption is that a continual high carb diet has helped my acid to continually get worse?
I imagine some apple cider vinegar can do the trick, but should I continue to eat high fats or avoid them till I settle this?
Thanks a lot.

Think you would get better response from the Nutrition section.
Ive done keto (high fat, no carb) for 8 months in the past, never heard of this.

Without knowing anything else about your food intake, my first guess would be a general lack of vegetables and/or fiber.

What exactly are you feeling? Naseus after eating anything? Or just burning?
I gave myself gerd, aka acid reflux because i went from vaction and when i came back i whent streaight back to bulking stuffing myself and aggrivating my stomach
I have had issues all this week, finnaly it is getting better. Apple cider vinager will help, altho disgusting. Other things people say are baking soda, apples, milk to coat your stomach lining.
Also eating right before bed will aggrivate your stomach and leave acid in your stomach. I know it sucks, ive been having cottage cheese and milk everynight until this week. Now if i eat/drink it before bed ill have a horrible morning with naseu ect. When i dont eat before bed my mornings are pretty normal.

Betaine HCL is a supplement for people with low stomach acid. It also usually comes with a few other digestive enzymes. I just bought some and its done wonders for me in terms of bloatedness/gas. There is a test you are supposed to do with it to check for low stomach acid. Eat half of a 6-10oz piece of meat (depending on your size), then take 1 stomach acid pill, then eat the other half. If you don't get a "hot tea" feeling in your throat, you should try the test again with 2 pills, and so forth until you get it. The max number of pills you used without getting a burn will be the number you need to use with your big protein meals.
So far I've only done the test once, and had zero burning feeling. Means I'm somewhat low on stomach acid!
