Swimming for cardio...does it break down muscle?

I never do cardio on leg days...but I was wondering if anyone knew if it is ok to swim. Any information on this topic would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Question

What is your main goal? Gain, Loss, etc.

I don't think there is any reason you shouldn't do cardio on a "leg day".

Swimming is fine as long as your diet support it.

I used tio swim for cardio in the past with great success!
You might feel very cold towards the end of contest prep because of low bodyfat this is why I had to stop swimming 4 weeks out.
