Post From Parade: Food Myths Bused Part 2

I was looking through my Saturday paper and found a couple pages devoted to one of my favorite topics: nutrition. You may know most of these, if not all of them, but I thought I would post.

http://www.parade.com/food/0808/8-food-myths-busted-2

Here are the 8 myths outlined in this article:
Myth #1: Certain foods can burn fat.
Myth #2: It?s better to eat six mini meals than three squares.
Myth #3: Fresh fruits and vegetables are more nutritious than frozen ones.
Myth #4: Decaf coffee has no caffeine.
Myth #5: Margarine is better than butter.
Myth #6: Bananas are fattening.
Myth #7: Cravings are your body's way of telling you it needs something.
Myth #8: Cooking veggies destroys their vitamin content.

I thought 6 was a joke, but I guess some people think bananas are more fattening than other foods. I liked #3 and #8, because I eat so much frozen vegetables. I am still not 100% about #2. I guess I am be narrow minded about getting my protein effectively over 6 meals vs 3.

Oh yeah, if this is a repost, then just let the thread die.
