    What the heck is wrong with me?

    I can deadlift 405-415

    Squat 345

    Strict overhead press (no leg drive) 160-165

    But I can't even bench 205

    What gives?

    2. Nothing wrong with you. I squat 205 & bench 255, nothing wrong with me...

    Upper body strength/ chest strength lagging behind the rest of muscle groups?
    Just concentrate on building up your chest muscles (pushups, bench, etc)...it'll come eventually.

    i am the same my bench is poor. I didn't get much stronger in the bench so i started doing weighted dips.

    with a 165lbs press you should be able to bench 255lbs for 1 with no problem. obviously weak chest and weak triceps. bench more, try doing flies for chest and do dips/skulls/cgbp/floor press/heavy lockouts for tris. i would even recommend an arm day where you can concentrate on bis and TRIS.

    switch to db, had the same problem with my bench then i went to db and narrow grip bench. Tried bench later and it was way easier.

    I actually don't think that's abnormal. Bench is ALWAYS significantly weaker than dead/squat.

    Take your weakest muscle and turn it into your best then. Priority priciple. your max bench should be atleast 250 with and overhead press of 165.

    7 months benching; 2 months squatting = higher bench.

    At any rate, my squat will fly by my bench as Im gaining muuuuch faster with my squats than my bench.
