#1. Are you looking for physical activities for you and your family to do as a unit or are you looking for one for yourself and another for them?
#2. No secrets. I think the general consensus is to find a challanging exercise program to follow, learn healthy eating habits and be consistant.

Basically metabolic change is 80% diet - 20% exercise regime. One of the reasons that many [ not all] bodybuilders eat 5 to 6 times a day is to try and speed up the metabolism .This works initally but the body is a great adaptor - so constant tweaking of the diet is recommended. Try initally to get a 40% protein , 40% carbs & 20% fats diet going. What changes to body are you hoping to achieve? Be specific!
