I'm pretty sure personal preferance, environement and darwinism all play into it. Culture and society probably have a lot to do with it also.
That being said at 6'0 285 I've been contemplating a visit to samoa, If all goes well , I'll be moving there.
Btw, I do have a six pack.................it's hiding behind the kegThe older I get, the better I was

yeah....all the time.
only 16 year old attention whores and high school girls like six packs. in high school, you were "jacked" if you were like 5'10'' 170.....
once women get older they tend to start liking manly men more. not the girly ***s who wear white dress shoes, all black, and spike their hair like bart simpson.
Ya dig??
OH BTW - girls love BICEPS and shoulders FTW..

Say this when you're my age.
Women LOVE cuts, and will take athletic & lean over heavily muscled & soft any day. I'm not endorsing this, I'm just sayin' that's how it is.

There are a LOT of girls who don't like abs. So many girls like a variety of things, average, toned, etc.
Askmen and FHM magazine took polls on abs. Something like 90% of girls like an athletic build like beckham and ryan reynolds over a bodybuilder physique. And like 97% of girls found vascularity to be 'gross'.
However, I still am busting to get both regardless of what they think!
But anyway, it is true. There are A LOT of girls who could care less about abs vs non abs and theres a decent amount who don't like the look of muscle reaching out of your abdomin. Their not saying it because of some insecurity or looking out for someone, a lot of people just don't like it.
Example, Kim Kardashian....everyone LOVES her ass, i think it's gross and too much and shapeless =P

My ex-girlfriend always told me that she wouldn't think that I would be as attractive with a six pack, and obvious muscle. At the same time she also never really supported me at all when I began getting into shape and eating healthy because she's one of those girls who eats completely unhealthy and didn't care about her weight...(She really should have ). This was all enough reason that I broke up with her, no one wants to date a naysayer.

my ex discouraged me gaining muscle/loosing weight, she said she didnt like it. I think she was just insecure.. she weighed only 20 pounds less (she was 6' 1" tho) than I do now so fukc her haha
im glad im not with her anymore, just demotivation. I dont give a **** what women think I'm going for that 9% BF. Something tells me that even tho some claim they dont like it, I'll still have plenty to talk to.To quit is to fail, to continue to try is to never loose.

I agree. Don't worry about it and what you want should always come in as a higher priority than what she wants.
Other than that, I have found certain girls liking the ripped abs and others just liking it 'semi-defined'. Either way, I have noticed girls and the public in general are obsessed with abs (blame the media/society/culture) and leanness in general."I am always doing things I can't do, that's how I get to do them."
