By weight they hold a lot more water then protein and fat. That's why people on low carb lose wt so quickly...and stay dehydrated. A pretty dumb diet for athletic performance

Yep, I'm using a high protein, high fat, low carb set up currently. I refeed on complex carbs about every 6-7 days, then shift back to high protein, high fat and low carb again. I gain about 2-4 pounds after every refeed day, then drop the weight through out the week. I also drink a little better then a gallon of water each day.

This has been a great program for me. I've packed on some muscle, some fat while staying sort of lean with great weight lifting power.

Are you on a cutting, maintenance, or bulking diet? Are you on the Keto diet?

I'm on maintenance and the diet is designed by me. It's been a fun food program so far. One of the keys for this program is I'm not taking any multivitiamins, protein supplements, fish oils, fat burners etc. Just a whole food program.
