Anyone else looking forward to this latest movie from director Guy Ritchie? I loved Snatch and Lock Stock, this one looks to have much of the same ruthless humor and whack job story line.

I have not seen either of those two movies. Can't believe I missed a move named Snatch!!

Gerard Butler and Tom Wilkinson? Looks like a winner to me!
I loved Lock, Stock and Snatch, too. Haven't seen the later films but heard they were crap. Hopefully this one is back on track.

I loved Snatch. Brad Pitt and his Irish gypsy storyline made the movie. Bullet Tooth Tony was a close second. Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels was good.
Yea, I'm looking forward to this movie in October

Wasn't Irish. Brad Pitt played a Pikey. Big difference.

Yeah, but my grandma was one, so I'm allowed.

All pedantry aside, I just hope it's good. I own Revolver on DVD because it was on sale and from Guy Richie, but it received such a panning that I haven't even watched it yet.

The funny part was that I understood most of what Brad Pitt was saying. I needed to look up "Periwincle Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeee". I did not understand that for the life of me.
Vinnie Jones aka Bullet Tooth Tony was in both movies, but I thought I read he turned this movie down.

I didn't see Revolver for those reasons, but with the new flick coming up, I've got to give it a go. I think Jason Statham is in that. He's very cool. I'm gonna Amazon it. It'll probably be cheap.
I like the word penantry.....
Gypos is just a generic word for travellers as is pikey.
The difference in them being pikeys as opposed to being Irish is that they do talk differently and employ Didicoy in their speak. My mum and aunt can speak some didicoy and used to use it when they didn't want us kids to hear the conversation.
Biggest difference is that the Irish are lovely people who don't set up camp on your doorstep, steal everything that isn't bolted down, try and hassle you into buying stolen TV's, lucky heather, clothespegs or new tarmac for your drive, then keep everyone awake at all hours of the night. When they get told to move on they scream human rights (because some arsehole in Brussels gave them status as a people) then leave when they've pillaged everything in sight and leave all their unwanted **** lying around for the local authorities to clear up leaving the taxpayer to foot the bill.
They truly are the biggest oxygen thieves around......
My uncle had a run in on his land. They agreed to leave for $20,000. He just hired a digger and dug a 6' trench around the camp, leaving a gap wide enough to drive away and told them he'd be finishing in the morning. They left that night.
Ooh, I could write a (small) book about those bastards...
Sorry, my pedantry button got pushed.
He he. It's good to share and this is the 'new misc'

We're big Guy Ritchie fans. As long as the movie doesn't star his wife....Maybe its my imagination, but I think the people who did "Smoking Aces" were influenced by GR....

I'm sure Madonna is not in it, but he usually uses one of her songs.
Ya know - you may be right about "Smokin' Aces". I am a rare person that really liked that movie. It seems to make a truly fun movie, you need to have a great soundtrack to go with it.

Hey, it's not my fault it took that long to be on cable...
Yes, gents, starting when I was well under 35 with movies like, "The Crays," I have a different taste for cinematic entertainment than most gals.
