Personally I think it's only good for making money for the author. You can play around with macros on your own to determine your sensitivity to protein, carbs, and fats.
I read this and tried it years ago and actually found that it was pretty true for me (low-carb). But, ultimately I think it is a tad gimmicky. Just tinker with your macros until you find what works for you, and then monitor them periodically so you don't stagnate. If what works happens to be the same as what the book recommends, maybe there is something to it.
