Now, now... not blue jeans; Blue GENE!
Firstly, a HUGE thank you to Tank and PT and everyone at Controlled Labs for giving me, and a select few others, the opportunity to log this supplement for them.
For the next 60 days I will be attempting a recomposition, using another Controlled Labs product in conjunction with Blue GENE... REDuction.
More details regarding my first day using both supplements, as well as my afternoon around the iron... Soon.

A little about your friendly neighborhood tester...

Supplementation
Controlled Labs Blue GENE
Controlled Labs REDuction
AEN IntrAbolic
Universal's Animal Omega
Multi
Various proteins
Creatine Monohydrate
My expectations
Based on the ingredient profile of Blue GENE, I intend to focus on recovery (Cissus and Carnitine) as well as investigate the inclusion of Carao and Catuaba and their benefits.
Using heavier, compound movements, I do expect to progress in weight from week to week once the formula begins its magic.
As for my goals, I'm performing a recomposition due to my increase in size in such a short period of time. I, sadly, elected to go about it the easy way instead of the smart way.
I'm hoping to shed 2-3% of unwanted body fat while maintaining what I can of my weight, and hopefully increasing my strength.
Realistic projections for the 30-day sponsored portion of the log, would be a 1-2% drop in body fat, and a 5-10 pound drop in weight.
My ultimate goal is to hover at 230, 10-12%.
Think I've got what it takes?Last edited by _Smitty_; 08-25-2008 at 12:51 PM.

Incline dumbbell press: 3x8-10

Cardio

What would I wear with today's Blue GENEs?
It's obviously too early to make any type of educated judgment, as this is my first day.
I will say that my strength was basically non-existent today, which is very good. This way I have a baseline that I can progress from.
I was displeased with the incline DB because I was pressing 75s for 10 as recently as last week...
I'm not wholly comfortable with the cable flyes, so, any suggestions (can't do flat bench DB flyes; I can't put any added strain on my shoulders) would be helpful.
Back/cardio tomorrow... And that's when I'll really shine!

The legendary 5Six; seen your posts on the board, glad you're here, man!
As am I. The write-up in the FAQ makes this seem too good to be true; it's as if you can stack Blue GENE with almost anything.
Welcome, Brent. I hope I provide enough information that will help others consider giving this a try.
With that said, if anyone has any questions regarding Blue GENE, from the basics to the purposes of the ingredients, don't hesitate to ask... I've researched the ingredients individually and am very excited to see how they work with one another.

What would I wear with today's Blue GENEs?
Great workout today, but I'm still a little weak. I'm willing to concede strength this week for the purposes of establishing baselines, as I've said.
Second day of Blue GENE warrants no effects just yet, though there's no residual soreness from yesterday's lifts and thanks to REDuction's p.m. formula, I slept very well last night.
Due to time constraints, I chose to omit the A-handle pulldowns (3x8-10), which usually closes out the session, and opted for cardio... It was either/or.
My goal for back day during this 30-day log is to max out the stacks while completing the target reps on all lifts; already there with the seated rows (290 lbs. is the limit).
Shoulders tomorrow... With my weakness proved on chest day, we'll see how I recover and handle another day of pushes.

5 BG tabs/day... 45-60 mins. pre-workout.
I didn't see the need to assess my tolerance, as I've researched the ingredients beforehand and noted that I wasn't allergic to anything, nor did I believe that I'd react negatively to the ingredients in their amounts.
Also dosing REDuction as suggested.Last edited by _Smitty_; 08-26-2008 at 02:12 PM.
